PineMelon: Fresh Groceries 12+

Where I used to live, my favorite grocery store was a local coop with lots of local fresh produce, and pantry items/treats from local businesses. Since moving to Denver I’d been a little let down- Sprouts is a bit overpriced and doesn’t always have a huge selection of local stuff/produce, & Trader Joe’s is too far of a drive with the traffic here. I haven’t been able to find anything like the local coop I used to go to. Lately I’ve just been using instacart to order from KS, typically let down with the selection of organic produce. PineMelon has the perk of fast delivery like instacart, but with an amazing produce selection that I am thrilled with! I am happy with the prices and all of the produce I ordered was super fresh and in great condition. The selection of pantry items, home goods, frozen food, etc. covered everything I needed to buy- I think I will be doing all of my shopping here from now on.

I was already so excited to have discovered Pinemelon because I don’t buy beef or pork unless it’s from local, ethical farms but it was always so expensive to get it delivered. But I’m even more impressed now because I was having a ton of issues placing an order through the app and website and the customer service team called me, sorted things out with IT, placed an order for me, AND gave me a discount for the inconvenience. Will continue to recommend Pinemelon to everyone I know!

I’ve used pinemelon consistently since about 3 months ago. I really appreciated the high quality foods, and quality delivery service. The neighborhood I live in has a lot of crime and theft, so I had to schedule the delivery for when I can receive it directly from the courier. All I had to do was plan the delivery for when I was home. I liked it so much that I paid $60 for a year of MelonClub.

Right after I paid for this they changed their delivery schedule. The new delivery schedule ONLY has 11-5 delivery windows. I am not home 11-5 any day of the week. I can’t afford to live in a neighborhood where you can leave food on your front porch for hours.

The service that I have spent thousand of dollars on is now effectively useless. I used to brag to my friends about how good PineMelon is. Now I will tell people to stay away. I really hope they change their delivery policy back to one that actually works for everyone. Very disappointing.
